Brutal - University of Oregon, Brutalist Architecture
Brutalist architecture is a movement in architecture that flourished from the 1950s to the mid-1970s, descended from the modernist architectural movement of the early 20th century. Brutalism became popular with governmental and institutional clients, with numerous examples in Britain, France, Germany, Japan, the United States, Canada, Brazil, the Philippines, and Australia. Examples are typically massive in character (even when not large), fortress-like, with a predominance of exposed concrete construction. Wikipedia

Waldport Oregon at Night
Fog rolling in brings a hazy glow to the Alsea Bay Bridge and the town of Waldport while the sky remains clear.

I had scheduled my visit to the overlook here with the passing of and Iridium satellite using the IOS app Sputnik.  The brightness of the lights on the bridge and from the town of Waldport caused me to bring my ISO down to 100. A lot lower than what I would normally use at night. The effect from the Iridium flare was very different with the change in ISO. Usually I capture a “star trail” or “meteor” type effect but with this one only the brightest moments of the flare were captured.

I found the blue aura around the flare very interesting.
